Blue Mountain Ski Resort Review

Blue Mountain Ski Resort is located in Pennsylvania in the Pocono Mountains. They are 17 miles from Allentown, 20 from Bethlehem, 75 from Philadelphia and 75 from Trenton.

Blue has 34 runs serviced by nine lifts. It has 100% snowmaking and 100% lighting for night skiing. The runs are 30% beginner, 35% intermediate, 17% advanced and 18% expert. The vertical drop is 1,082 feet. The runs offer something for every one of all skill levels with plenty of lazy, easygoing runs to nonstop runs over a mile long.

If you have not been to Blue Mountain in a while you will want to head straight for "Nightmare", a 900 foot long double diamond run with steeps and turns designed to thrill. Another feature of the resort in the Big Air Bag. Are you a rider or skier working on your jumps, now you can do it in the safety of an air suit, designed to cushion all those awful landings.

The premier park is Sidewinder Park with features like tabletops, multiple 70 jumps, a street stair set, a down flat down s, 35 foot 180 degree C box and a 40 foot down flat down. Central Park has 2 custom built stair steps and Snowcross Trail is home to the large cement mixer jib. Come Around Park is an intermediate park and Terrain Run Park is for the beginning boarders.

The tubing park at Blue Mountain has 21 slides and 3 lifts. When summer comes around it brings warmer weather activities like mountain biking and disc golf. The fun never stops at Blue Mountain Resort.

Rentals and lessons are available at Blue. Your kids would enjoy the Explorers, a program for ages 4-12 and boarders from ages 7-12.
